We have just returned from Marcus Evans Group 29th Strategic Project & Portfolio Management for Pharma, an intense event that brought together leaders and practitioners from the pharma and life sciences world to discuss a key question: how to manage complexity without losing speed and value?

 

We heard concrete experiences on portfolio management, advanced PMOs, global program management, and the adoption of hybrid models. But the strongest message was another:

the real challenge is not just to do projects better, but to make better decisions, more quickly, and with a clear connection to strategy.

Several themes emerged strongly:

-         real alignment between strategy, portfolio, and execution

-         governance as an enabler, not a hindrance

-         skills, culture, and leadership as critical success factors

For DRIVE2CHANGE, it was a confirmation: transformation only works when method, people and context evolve together.
